2.2 Junior High Observations

 Introduction

   In our second observation in Intro to Education, we had the opportunity to observe Junior High Teachers and the differences in teaching from the High School teachers, I observed how they started the classroom and made sure all goals were met.

Junior High Observation 1 & 2

    My observations were with Mrs. Johnson and her classroom. Overall, I believe Mrs. Johnson's use of notes, textbooks, and constructive thinking was the positives that I gathered from the observation.

Greatest Takeaway

    My greatest takeaway from the observation is being able to watch how a classroom is conducted when the students are taking a test. The method of making sure there was silence during the test so everyone could have full focus on the test, and those who were done were told to get a book to read until everyone else was done.

Conclusion

    I am very glad I had the opportunity to observe the amazing Junior High School teachers and learn what I can use later on when I begin to teach.
