Introduction
Recently in Intro to Education, we were given the opportunity to observe High School Teachers on how they conduct the classroom, what materials are frequently used, and how they ensure student growth.
High School Observation 1
My first observation was Mrs. Davis and her classroom. In total, I believe that Mrs. Davis' use of notes is one positive from the observation. If the students were confused at any point, she immediately addressed the problem and found a solution.
High School Observations 2
My second observation was Mrs. Cloninger. She successfully performs her lesson throughout the class period, and sticks to her schedule at all times as to not get behind. She made several reminders to her students on what is due soon as to keep everyone up to date.
Greatest Takeaway
My greatest takeaway from these observations is the realization of how much is put into creating a lesson plan for the day, and how difficult it can be to stay on track. I believe that both Mrs. Davis & Mrs. Cloninger have amazing plans to deal with not getting off track.
Conclusion
I am very glad I had the opportunity to observe the amazing High School teachers, and learn what all I can use later on when I begin to teach.
